Pity Party

Yes- this is exactly what the title says. A pity party!! So lets start at the beginning...hmmm. Week was ok. Had a little bit of school work - editing a paper and posting online - nothing too big. My friends had their first baby. I decided I would go see them Thursday. She is BEAUTIFUL!! and a total darling..

Anyway - after I left their house I ran some errands and did some things around town and noticed my throat was hurting. No biggie - the weather is messy and sometimes my allergies cause a sore throat. When I finally got home, I watched some TV and looked at my throat. One tonsil was a little red and swollen - but no big deal... (so I thought!)

I was a little cold so I just went to bed. When I got up Friday - my throat was KILLING me.. I called for an appointment with my doctor and got in for that afternoon. I had to get a thermometer. One the way to the doctors, I was running a temp of 103!!! No wonder I felt bad. Anyway - I have strep throat (yuckie)!

So I stayed home from work Saturday - but I can't take off Sunday too because I dont' have that many sick days..

Ok - so that is my pity party!!

On another note - just a warning. Mom went to see Uniter 93 and said it was filmed similar to the Blair Witch Project. She said she was so sick to her stomach she had to leave.

Anyway - I'm going to keep being pitiful. I have until 9am tomorrow before I have to stop!

Marching to the beat of my own.....

Hello to everyone. I know it has been a while since I wrote. For anyone keeping count - I've been on my diet 10 weeks and I've lost a total of 28.6 lbs. I've very excited. I haven't changed into any smaller sizes (stuck in that inbetween stage) but I'm optamistic (sp?). Anyway - I was talking with a friend in town and we realized I've lost the equivalent to what her baby (16 month old) weighs. Wow! That really put it into perspective cuz he's heavy!!

Other than that, school is going only a few more weeks and I'm finished. I can't wait! I'm looking forward to the summer time.
I'll write more later!
